Dustin Hoxworth

Dustin Hoxworth is the Founder and Editor-at-Large of Fat Nugs Magazine, one of the cannabis industry's fastest-growing independent media platforms. A writer, storyteller, artist, speaker, and advocate, he has dedicated his work to documenting the people, communities, and culture that continue to shape the future of cannabis.

Through Fat Nugs Magazine, Dustin oversees a growing ecosystem of media initiatives that includes the Weekly Zine, Faces of Cannabis, the Hotbox Interview Series, The Plant Panel, documentary storytelling projects, print publications, and event coverage from across the United States and around the world. His work has helped amplify the voices of patients, cultivators, entrepreneurs, scientists, veterans, artists, and advocates whose stories are often overlooked by traditional media.

In 2026, Dustin helped launch the Green Press Collective, a first-of-its-kind independent media cooperative created to strengthen distribution, collaboration, and sustainability across cannabis, psychedelics, and plant medicine journalism. The collective brings together respected independent publications with a shared mission of preserving authentic storytelling and ensuring independent media continues to have a seat at the table.

Known for his direct communication style and community-first approach, Dustin has become a sought-after moderator, speaker, and media partner at major industry events, including the International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC), IgniteIt, MJ Unpacked, the California State Fair Cannabis Awards, and numerous conferences, trade shows, and advocacy events throughout North America and Europe.

His work is guided by a simple belief: cannabis is far more than an industry. It is food, fuel, fiber, medicine, business, community, and culture. Through journalism, education, and storytelling, he remains committed to helping build a future where independent voices are heard, communities are supported, and the people who built the movement are never forgotten.
